dropped out which caused a major problem for the tournament. Section One Director Jeff Hull advised
AD Juarez that he is contemplating removing one wildcard from Area 1-D
for the 2006-07 section league playoffs.

pre-registration for future classes and bring proof of classes taken.

will recommend that the rules and regulations reflect that coaches are a
current year registered volunteer, Safe Haven certified and U12 coach

Thanks to all of our
regional administrators and assignors for great support for staffing Area 1D
League and All-Star tournament matches.

Jim Miholik, Section One
Referee Administrator, this past weekend recognized Area 1D as the only are to
completely fill all of its referee assignments for the Section One League
tournament. Roger Stevenson managed the
assignments for our Area.

Section One All-Star
tournament is this coming weekend 11 & 12 of March in Riverside.
·
Area coaches interested
in Referee support for tournament teams should contact the Referee
Administrator. We are making an effort
to put referee teams together to support spring teams.

REFEREE ASSESSMENT REPORT: Roger Stevenson

This past season, 27
Advanced Referee assessments (13 as center referee and 14 as assistant referee)
were requested with 19 being signed off for upgrade.

Additionally, 7 National
Referee assessments (6 as center referee and 1 as assistant referee) were
requested and completed.
REFEREE INSTRUCTION REPORT: Brian O Donnell

Area 1D Basic Referee
Course will be held March 13, 15, 16 in Manhattan Beach. Information is posted on the website. Contact Roger Stevenson (lead instructor)
for details.

AYSO AREA 11L is
currently sponsoring National Referee, Advanced Referee and Intermediate
Referee upgrade classes in Lake Forest, CA on Fri, Sat & Sun, July 14-16. Webmaster
has posted the details and link on the Area 1D Website.

One instructor (Region
34) has his instructor credential on hold until the roster from October 2005
has been submitted.

Dave Emmons officially voted in as RC by Board; picking up the pieces; 95%
returning Board Members; spread the work within the region the goal for
this upcoming season; checking accounts transferred; audit to be requested

Bart Cruz is new CVPA; first new Board meeting held with AD Juarez in attendance;
some new people on the Board; declined U16 team from going to the National
Games in Chicago; carnival over Labor Day weekend with a mini soccer fest

New RC Ricky Labayen is official; outgoing RC Denman thanked all for the
kindness and support throughout her term; first Board Meeting March 20, key positions filled on the Board

1345 Process of getting new Board; difficulties with previous RC;
upcoming Board Meeting March 15; Chivas coming in to help with
registration not interested in selling tickets within Lennox for Galaxy games
(cultural thing); excited to the start of the new season.
AD conducted incentive drawing with all in attendance
winning some fabulous prizes!
